How to play Tetris
1. Pieces fall — Tetriminos (7-piece types) drop from the top. 2. Move & rotate — arrow keys to move, up arrow to rotate. 3. Stack them — place pieces to fill rows. 4. Clear rows — complete rows disappear, gain points. 5. Level up — every 10 cleared lines, speed increases. 6. Game over — pieces reach the top of the screen.
Tetris pieces (Tetriminos)
- I — straight line (4 cells).
- O — square (4 cells).
- T — T-shape (4 cells).
- S/Z — S and Z shapes (4 cells each).
- L/J — L and J shapes (4 cells each).
Each piece can be rotated. Plan rotations and placement.
Strategy
- Build from bottom — create solid foundation.
- Aim for T-spins — advanced move for bonus points.
- Don't stack too high — keep room for pieces to maneuver.
- Watch the preview — next piece is shown on the side.
Tips
- Hard drop (Space) — instantly place piece at bottom.
